Graphic Designer


COEUS is currently recruiting for a Graphic Designer for Market Access Pharmaceutical Marketing. Minimum 3-5 years’ design experience in a promotional agency or medical communication agency.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer whose skills will be focused on the ‘how” of a project. They will be the experts in making the project look amazing using layout, typography, iconography, color, and illustration. They will work closely with the Art Director to develop and execute client deliverables in both the print and digital spaces that align with current brand guidelines. The Graphic Designer ensures that the client’s messages are delivered in ways that are impactful, effective, and aesthetically pleasing.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Understands the design and layout development process from concept through completion in both print and digital spaces

• Works closely with Art Director, Creative team, and Content team to ensure accurate placement and visual representation of content

• Executes and produces the layout of illustrations, graphs, tables, and text from manuscript aligned to client-supplied brand guidelines and/or agreed-design concepts

• Transforms complex statistical data into visual graphics and diagrams though the use of images, iconography, text, and color

• Incorporate changes to layout from various input sources (Client, Editorial, Content, and Account teams)

• Typesets print publications, charts, forms, and letters or similar as needed

• Produces pre-press-ready files for release to vendors including specification sheets

• Creates slide templates and graphic solutions for PPT presentations

• Prioritizes and manage multiple projects

• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and with the highest quality

• Maintains appropriate documentation including tracking projects within systems, and ensuring projects meet digital and print specifications as required

• Meets with internal or external clients to understand needs and determine specifications. Attends kick-offs, discoveries, and regularly scheduled status meetings

• Understands the healthcare payer space—the various needs of, and dynamics between, the stakeholders involved and market trends that are impacting the industry

• Collaborates with SMEs, Account, Content and Editorial team members as the job requires, to manage day-to-day activities

• Works closely with team members to ensure that each project is delivered with the highest quality, within agreed timelines and client budgets

• Raise swift awareness to proactively head off issues that put projects at risk for staying on-time and on-budget

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or visual communications or experience in lieu of degree

• Minimum 3-5 years’ design experience in promotional agency or medical communication agency

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proven ability to work with other designers to create engaging visuals (printed collateral, digital material, clinical content, website copy, email newsletters, online campaigns, etc.)

• Highly effective working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, creative environment

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent time management skills

• Rigorous attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Understanding of in-house creative team and related dynamics

• Expert knowledge of Adobe Suite; primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat

• Expert knowledge of style sheets, master pages, heavy typesetting, brand guidelines

• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
